NEW VESSEL - IMO NUMBER IS ALREADY KNOWN
Go into the MAINTENANCE > CREATE VESSEL ENTRY
Enter the vessels IMO number and press enter.
If a matching record is found you need to select this entry and update it as required. This may also require changing the vessel name.
If the system does not find a matching record you will be asked if you want to create a new entry.
Enter the name of the new vessel and press enter.
NOTE: If the systems find a vessel entry with the same name, but different IMO number you will be asked to check this entry before proceeding.
If no matching IMO number or name is found you can proceed by press ENTER
The final step is to complete all mandatory fields in each tab and save {CNTRL + S}

If you don't have the IMO number but you still need to create a new entry please tick the 'I don't have an IMO number' box:
And then choose the applicable option:
Option A: New Building
Only to be used when a new vessel entry is required for a real vessel, but the IMO number is not yet know. This will allow you to create the entry without an IMO number which will need to be entered at a later stage once known. Entries are labelled accordingly:
Option B: Not a real vessel
The option is only to be used when creating a new STANDBY POOL or ADMIN vessel. This option is not to be used for real vessels. Entries are labelled accordingly:
Option C: Small vessel
Only to be used when creating a new record for a vessel that does not qualify for an IMO number due to its size / classification. Entries are labelled accordingly:
Once selected, enter the applicable name for this entry and then press Y to proceed.
The final step is to complete all mandatory fields in each tab and save {CNTRL + S}
