Subject: Updates to Training Documentation and Matrix Features (27/11/2024)

Dear Colleagues,

We have streamlined the training information for better usability and clarity:

1.                  Unified Training Doc Tab:

The Company Specific Training and Client Specific Training tabs under Seafarer Personal Documents have been combined into a single table called 'Matrix Courses'.

2.                  New Columns Added:

    • Source: Indicates whether the course requirement comes from the Owners Matrix or Marlow Training Matrix.
    • Priority Level: Show the priority level as set by Marlow or Client: Essential, Important, Optional, or Low Priority.

Platforms: These changes have also been applied in the Client Portal and CrewCompanion App.

Note: These changes have also been applied in both the CrewCompanion and Client Portal platforms.

3.                  Filtering Options:

You can now filter the list of courses by their source, making it easier to locate relevant training requirements.

Note:  Only 'follow Up entries' are filtered.  Approved entries are not shown when filter options are used

Or you can use the new Search field to find a specific entry in the selected Document tab

4.                  New Marlow Training Matrix Template:
A revised Excel template for the Marlow Training Matrix is now available. It is more user-friendly and allows filtering by various parameters, including region, vessel type, and rank.

Access it here: TRAINING MATRIX - NEW VERSION.xlsx

5.                  New Courses Added:

After careful review, several new courses have been added to the Marlow Matrix. These are highlighted in bold/italics. Please review and familiarize yourself with these updates.

6.                  Automated Oracle Entries:

New courses have been integrated into Oracle. They will automatically appear in eligible seafarer records with 'Follow-Up' markers, based on parameters like rank, nationality, agency, and vessel type after pressing the Update Documents button.  We also now show the last time this action was performed:

And we added a new tab called 'Auto Updated' which shows only those entries which were updated the last time the 'Update Documents' script was executed:
